About
I am a web analytics consultant based in London, working for Logan Tod as a Customer Insight Consultant. I have worked in analytical roles all my working life and joined the online world in early 2006. Since then I have developed a passion for web analytics and using the unique range of data that is captured when a website is visited.
The point of web analytics data is to inform business decisions, ensuring that the correct actions are taken, leading to the business meeting its objectives and achieving success. I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the task of interpreting web analytics data that helps me to focus on making actionable recommendations. I relate the data to how a visitor views the website, meaning no element is considered in isolation. This is vital in taken the practice of web analytics beyond simple statistical calculations to an art.
I have worked on both the client and agency side in web analytics. From my experience, I understand internal business requirements for web analytics and why taking it slowly can sometimes be the fastest way to the end goal. I am interested in all aspects of the internet and how web analytics can be used to better websites. The ideas behind the internet are developing incredibly and being able to understand how areas like social media can be measured and understood will be a focus of mine in the future.
My previous position was as a Consultant with Nedstat, the leading European web analytics vendor. While with Nedstat, I worked with a range of top companies across the UK providing performance reviews, web analytics reporting, training on web analytics and general implementation assistance. Prior to that, I worked at Ask.com as their Market Analyst, responsible for all web analytics reporting and forecasting.
Details on my work history and experience can be found on my Linkedin profile.
I have lived in the UK since Mar ’04, a long way from my parent’s fruit farm in north west Victoria, Australia. I moved to this side of the world for employment opportunities and as a more convenient location from which to explore the world. Yes I do miss the weather back home and I will return to Melbourne one day but not just yet.
